Tara 4779 designer Tara Elwin is deeply inspired by the Minimalist movement in art and design. She studied fine art and graphic design in the U.S. and in Europe, in classes such as Philosophy of Aesthetics, Constructivism and Functionalism Architecture. With Tara 4779, the New York-based artist was compelled to strip her designs down to their fundamentals, while implementing flourishes that deliver a healthy dose of downtown cool.
Why we love this brand
The sculptural collection is handcrafted in New York City from recycled silver and gold—which are often combined in fantastic ways—and ethically sourced diamonds. Cool fact: The name Tara 4779 refers to the atomic numbers for silver (47) and gold (79).
